The Tourist is a gripping black comedy set against the vast, unforgiving backdrop of the Australian outback, starring Jamie Dornan, Danielle MacDonald, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. Created during the height of the pandemic, the production was a testament to creative resilience. My costume design drew from the muted tones of the desert itself—dusty ochres, sun-faded neutrals, and worn textures—blending seamlessly into the stark, surreal atmosphere of the series. In a story full of mystery and dark absurdity, the wardrobe quietly reinforced the characters’ isolation, vulnerability, and grit.
