Indian Summers – Channel 4/PBS

Indian Summers is a sweeping historical drama set in 1947, during the final years of British colonial rule in India. Starring Julie Walters, the series unfolds against the opulence and unrest of Simla, capturing the tensions and transformations leading up to Partition. My costume design reflected the stark contrasts of the time—blending British colonial formality with the vibrant textures and traditions of India—bringing visual depth to a world on the cusp of irrevocable change.
